• Saint Paddy's crockpot Corn Beef and Cabbage

    The crockpot is one of the most versatile appliances to have in a tiny home. You can create anything from soups and stews to roasts and whole chickens. Here's the written recipe that will be detailed in photos.
    Ingredients for corn beef and cabbage
    10 Baby red potatoes, quartered
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
    3-4 pounds corned beef brisket with spice packet
    2 cups of water
    6 ounces of Dark Beer
    Step 1 of corn beef and cabbage

    1. Place brisket in the bottom of the crockpot, sprinkle spice packet on top
    2. Layer the onions, potatoes and cabbage on top of and around the brisket

    Step 3 of corn beef and cabbage
    3. Finally, add the water and beer
    Step 4 of corn beef and cabbage
    Cook for six hours on high or ten hours on low, depending on your crockpot.
    Step 5 of corn beef and cabbage

    When you're ready to serve, gently remove the corn beef, slice and place on a serving platter surrounded by the vegetables.  Enjoy!
